Overview
Update your existing or create a new DocuSign template with anchor text to merge signed date of the Contact or User of DocuSign. While submitting an Agreement for E-Signature the signed date will then be automatically stamped in the DocuSign document.
This guide walks you through the steps of customizing your DocuSign template with anchor text for automatic signed date stamping.

Prerequisites
Ensure that Contracts Suite - Sales Cloud Edition is already installed and configured. The version of this package must be 2025.2 or higher.
Edit and Upload Template to Formstack Documents
Open the template that you wish to edit such as NDA Template.docx.

Insert the following anchor text into the template at the end of the document below Date: for User and Contact respectively:
{$isig.TM_TOMA__User__r.LastName}SIGNDATE{$isig.TM_TOMA__User__r.FirstName}
{$esig.TM_TOMA__Contact__r.LastName}SIGNDATE{$esig.TM_TOMA__Contact__r.FirstName}

Hide the inserted text within the template by selecting it, changing its Font Color to White, and then saving your changes.

Go to Formstack Documents using App Launcher.

Go to Documents and scroll down to open NDA.

Go to Document Builder and click Upload and replace.

Select your NDATemplate.docx file and click Open.

Click Leave.
Uploaded document loads.
Scroll down to view your anchor text changes in the template.

Verify Formstack Mappings
Go to Formstack Mappings and scroll down to open NDA mapping.

Scroll down to externalsignatory and internalsignatory to verify mappings.
