Create Custom Record Type for Contract Vehicle
Step 1: Click the gear icon and select Setup.
Step 2: Go to Object Manager, enter text contract vehicle in the search bar, and click Contract Vehicle.
Step 3: In Contract Vehicle Object Manager, go to Record Types and click New.
Step 4: Enter Record Type - Label and Name.
Step 4.1: Select the Active checkbox.
Step 5: Select the Enable for Profile checkboxes, as per your requirements and click Next.
Step 6: Select a Page Layout for the new Record Type.
Alternatively, you can also create a new Page Layout and assign it to your newly created Record Type from Object Manager.
Step 7: Scroll down and click Save.
Record Type is created.
NOTE
To view a new Record Type you must first set up a Page Layout for the new Record Type.

Create a Contract Vehicle Record
Step 8: Open App Launcher.
Step 9: Enter text contract vehicles in the search bar and click Contract Vehicles in search results.
Step 10: Go to the Contract Vehicles tab and select New Contract Vehicle.
A popup window opens that displays new Contract Vehicle Record Type selection.
Create a Custom Record Type for Subcontract
Step 1: Go to Object Manager, enter text subcontract in the search bar, and click Subcontract.
Step 2: In Subcontract Object Manager, go to Record Types and click New.
Step 3: Enter Record Type - Label and Name.
Step 3.1: Select the Active checkbox.
Step 4: Select the Enable for Profile checkboxes, as per your requirements and click Next.
Step 5: Select a Page Layout for the new Record Type.
Alternatively, you can also create a new Page Layout and assign it to your newly created Record Type from Object Manager.
Step 6: Scroll down and click Save.
Record Type is created.
