Overview
The Contract Vehicle object in TechnoMile's Contracts solution now includes two new Record Types - IDIQ & Task Order. This document is a step-by-step guide on how you can configure these new Record Types for use in your organization.

Prerequisites
Ensure that TechnoMile Contracts Suite Sales Cloud Edition has already been installed and configured. The version of this package must be 6.25 or higher.
Steps for Configuration
Configure Custom Record Types for Contract Vehicle
Click the gear icon and select Setup.

Go to Object Manager, enter text Contract Vehicle in the search bar, and click Contract Vehicle.

In Contract Vehicle Object Manager, go to Record Types and click IDIQ.

Click Edit.

Ensure that the Active checkbox is selected and click Save.

Similarly, ensure that the Task Order Record Type is also activated.

Assign Page Layout to Record Types
In Contract Vehicle Object Manager, go to Page Layouts and click Page Layout Assignment.

Click Edit Assignment.

Scroll down and press the Ctrl key to select both IDIQ and Task Order Record Type columns and desired User Profiles that you want to assign a Page Layout to.
Select Page Layout To Use as All Fields and click Save.
All Fields is assigned as Page Layout for both Record Types and selected Profiles.
Grant Record Types Permissions to Profiles
Go to Home, enter text profiles in the search bar, and click Profiles.

Click a Profile that you want to provide Record Types access to.

Click Edit.
NOTE
In this document, permissions have been provided to ONE Profile. However, you can provide the same permissions to as many Profiles as per your requirements.

Scroll down to Custom Record Type Settings and click Edit against Contract Vehicles.

Select and move the following two Record Types from Available Record Types to Selected Record Types using the Add arrow button.
Select a Default Record Type of your choice and click Save.

Configure Page Layouts for Record Types
For New Customers - Import Page Layouts
Open App Launcher, enter text Contract Vehicle Configure in the search bar, and click Contract Vehicle Configure.

Select Contract and any Record Type of your choice and click Go.

Click Import.
Page Layout with various tabs, sections, and fields is imported for all three Record Types of the Contract Vehicle object .i.e. Master Contract Vehicle, IDIQ, and Task Order.
For Existing Customers - Clone Page Layouts
Go to Contract Vehicle Configure using App Launcher.
Select Contract and IDIQ and click Go.

Click Clone Layout.

Select From Record Type as Master Contract Vehicle and click Clone.
Page Layout with various tabs, sections, and fields is cloned for the IDIQ Record Type.Click Save Clone.

Similarly, select Task Order and click Go.

Click Clone Layout.

Select From Record Type as Master Contract Vehicle and click Clone.

Go to the Contract Information section and click Add Field.

Enter as Master Contract Vehicle and Field API Name as TM_TOMA__Master_Contract_Vehicle__c, select the Is Draft Required? and Is Required? checkboxes, and click Add.

Field is added, click Re-Arrange Field.

Drag & drop the Master Contract Vehicle field below the Contract Vehicle Name field and click Rearrange.

Field is rearranged, click Save.
