Create an Opportunity from GovWin IQ or Link an Existing Opportunity

Introduction

TechnoMile's Growth Suite integrates with Deltek GovWin IQ, enabling you to create Opportunities directly from GovWin IQ records using the Opportunity Quick Create Wizard. The wizard provides a customizable, simplified page layout focused on key fields from GovWin IQ data to automatically link Agency, Competitor, and Contact information to your Opportunity. You can create Accounts, Competitors, and Contacts while creating your Opportunity in a single workflow, instead of needing to maintain multiple tabs or handle confusing navigation.

Alternatively, you can link an Opportunity in Growth with its related record in GovWin IQ. Once the Opportunity is linked, you can view snapshots, timelines, descriptions, contact details, and any documents in GovWin IQ, from the Opportunity record. Each Opportunity remains linked, enabling new documents found on GovWin IQ to be automatically added to the Opportunity, thereby keeping your team up to speed with available details.

To use this feature, your company must have purchased the GovWin IQ Web Services API. If you have any questions, connect with your TechnoMile Customer Success Manager (CSM).

Creating an Opportunity from a GovWin IQ Record

1. Login to your TechnoMile Growth application on Microsoft Dynamics.

2. Click Opportunities under TechnoMile Growth and then click Quick Create.The Opportunity Quick Create Wizard opens.

3. Choose Create From GovWin IQ for Create Options and Regular or Task Order for Record Type and click Proceed.

4. Specify the GovWin Opportunity IQ ID and GovWin Opportunity Type and click Proceed.
   Important details of the GovWin record based on the specified GovWin Opportunity IQ ID are displayed.

5. Verify the GovWin record details and click Proceed.

6. Add Contacts and Competitors as required and click Proceed.The Opportunity record with the same name as the GovWin record is successfully created.

7. Click Navigate To Newly Created Opportunity.
   The Opportunity record created from the GovWin IQ record is displayed.

Linking an Existing Opportunity to its Corresponding GovWin IQ Record

1. Navigate to an existing Opportunity record in Growth that you want to link to a GovWin record.

2. Go to the GovWin tab.

3. Click the Edit icon to specify the GovWin Opportunity ID and then click the Save icon.The system retrieves the GovWin IQ data and the Opportunity record fields in Growth are updated with the GovWin IQ information.GovWin IQ data on the other tabs is also automatically populated namely, Contracts, Competition, Contacts, Gov Entities, Milestones, Documents, and Updates based on the previously entered GovWin Opportunity ID.
