Introduction
With Sparks, you can automate the process of capturing potential sales leads. Sparks enable you to directly import data from external portals into your CRM, eliminating manual data entry and saving you time. Once you have identified a promising lead in Sparks, you can easily convert it into a full Opportunity within Growth for further tracking and management.

You can use Sparks to perform the following actions:
Import Recompetes from GovSearchAI without compromising your existing Growth setup.
NOTE
Recompetes refer to Awards and Contract Vehicles that are nearing expiration and have the potential to be pursued again.
Save time in creating the Opportunity Record in Growth as fields are pre-populated.
Map fields to align the GovSearchAI data with the data available in the CRM.
View updates to Spark details right from the Opportunity record.
Use Sparks as potential Opportunities and choose to promote them to actual Opportunities.

Prerequisites
Ensure that Growth Suite - Sales Cloud Edition version 2024.1 or higher or Platform Edition version 5.10 or higher, is already installed and configured.
Ensure that your Salesforce org is connected to the GovSearchAI portal.
Adding Awards to Spark in GovSearchAI
Launch GovSearchAI and go to the Awards tab.
Specify the required filter criteria and click Apply.
Go to the Award record that you want to add to Spark.
Click Add.
A confirmation message displays and the Add icon changes to the Update icon.

You can also Add to Spark or Update Spark on the Award details page.

Viewing the Spark Record in Salesforce
Navigate to the details page of the Award record that you added to Spark.
Click View Spark.
The Spark record created in the connected Salesforce org displays in a new window.
Transaction Detail for Awards
The Awards page also includes information on the transactions that have been reported against that prime award to enable you to see modifications, exercised options, and other important details.
Navigate to the details page of an Award.
Click Transactions.
The Transactions page opens to display the transactions that have been reported for this specific Task Order, sorted by newest to oldest.
You can see the Mod No., the Date Signed, the Obligated Amount, the Description, the NAICS and PSC (Product Service Code), and the reason for the modification.Note
Only the most relevant information is included in the table view. You can add or remove columns using the Configure Columns option.

Click Export to export the transactions table into Excel or PDF format. You can export up to 25,000 records at a time.

Updating Sparks (Awards) in GovSearchAI
On GovSearchAI, navigate to the details page of the Award record that you added to Spark.
Click Update Spark.
Updates to this Award record are pushed to the connected Spark record in the Growth instance.
Adding Contract Vehicles to Spark in GovSearchAI
On GovSearchAI, go to the Contract Vehicles tab.
Specify the required filter criteria and click Apply.
Go to the particular Contract Vehicle record that you want to add to Spark.
Click Add.
A confirmation message displays and the Add icon changes to the Update icon.

You can also Add to Spark or Update Spark on the Contract Vehicle details page.

Solicitations Link in the Contract Vehicle Page
Navigate to the Contract Vehicle details page of an IDV that was awarded through SAM.gov.
Click the hyperlink for the Solicitation Number.
The incumbent Solicitation details page opens.
The Details/Classification tab of the incumbent Solicitation includes relevant metadata, Description, history, and other important information.Click Attachments/Links.A list of attachments of the prior Solicitation is displayed.

Viewing the Spark Record in Salesforce
On GovSearchAI, go to the details page of the Contract Vehicle record that you added to Spark.
Click View Spark.
The Spark record created in the connected Salesforce org displays in a new window.
Updating Sparks (Contract Vehicles) in GovSearchAI
On GovSearchAI, go to the details page of the Contract Vehicle record that you added to Spark.
Click Update Spark.
Updates to this Contract Vehicle record are pushed to the connected Spark record in the Growth instance.
