Overview
The Our Contract and Subcontract objects in TechnoMile's Contracts Suite now include a new Record Type - Commercial. This document is a step-by-step guide on how you can configure the Commercial record type for use in your organization.

Prerequisites
Ensure that TechnoMile's Contracts Suite is already installed and configured. The version of this package must be 2024.3 or higher.
Assign Commercial Lightning Record Pages as Default
Click the gear icon and select Setup.

Go to the Our Contract Object Manager.

Go to Lightning Record Pages and open the FedCLM Commercial Contract Detail page.

Click View.
The Lightning App Builder opens.Click Activation.

Go to the App, Record Type, and Profile tab and click Assign to Apps, Record Types, and Profiles.

Select the Contracts Suite, Contracts Suite Admin, and Subcontracts Suite apps, and click Next.


Click Next again.

Select the Commercial record type and click Next.

Select the Profiles of your choice and click Next.

Click Save.
The FedCLM Commercial Contract Detail page is assigned as default to the selected apps, record types, and profiles.Click the left arrow icon to go back.

Similarly, go to the Subcontract Object Manager, then go to Lightning Record Pages, and assign the Commercial Subcontract Record Page as default to your selected apps, record types, and profiles.

Configure Commercial Record Type Page Layouts
Go to Contract Suite Configure using App Launcher.

Select Contract and Commercial and click Go.

Click Clone Layout.

In the Select From Record Type field, select a record type (for example: IDIQ) and click Clone.
IMPORTANT
Ensure that in the Select From Record Type field, you select the record type whose layout is the most similar to the layout you want for the Contract - Commercial record type.

Click Save Clone.

Scroll down and click the x icon on the ICI Ingested Info tab.

Click Yes, delete it!

Click OK.
The tab is deleted.Similarly, it is recommended that you delete the Client & Prime Info tab.

Go to the Contract Overview tab and click Add Field in the Contract Information section.

Enter as Primary Organization Name and Field API Name as TM_TOMA__Account_Name__c and click Add.
The field is added.
Scroll down to the IDIQ Information section and click the wrench icon.

Enter Label as Child Contract Financials and click Update.
The section is renamed.
Click Quick Save.

Similarly, select Subcontract and Commercial and click Go.
Clone the Subcontract - IDIQ layout into the Commercial layout.
Rename the IDIQ Information section to Child Subcontract Financials.
Click Quick Save.
Go to an Our Contract record page using App Launcher to view your recently assigned/edited Page Layout for the Contract - Commercial record type.

Go to a Subcontract record page using App Launcher to view your recently assigned/edited page layout for the Subcontract - Commercial record type.

Assign Commercial Record Type to Permission Sets/Profiles
IMPORTANT
If you are not using the Contracts Suite out-of-the-box Permission Sets, ensure that you assign the Commercial record type to your User Profiles or their Permission Sets by navigating to the Custom Record Type Settings and selecting the Commercial record type for both Our Contracts and Subcontracts.
