Introduction

The Potential Opportunities feature in GovSearchAI provides a comprehensive search functionality of relevant government contracting opportunities within the U.S. federal market. Potential Opportunities incorporates opportunity sources from various sources, and applies our solution’s AI-powered algorithm to identify best-fit potential opportunities and help efficiently fill your pipeline.

Data Sources

TechnoMile’s industry-leading data lake aggregates, cleanses, organizes, and enriches data from top federal sources – such as USAspending, FPDS (Federal Procurement Data System), SAM (System for Award Management), FedConnect, APFS (Acquisition Planning Forecast System) procurement forecasts, and our proprietary contacts database – and delivers a single, consolidated view of this data through our GovSearchAI platform, including the industry’s most comprehensive view of contract vehicles and Task Orders

Default View

Once you log in and navigate to the Potential Opportunities page, a default list of opportunities based on your company Profile and past performance is displayed. Past performance data can include information on your NAICS and PSCs, top customers that have awarded work to your company, set aside statuses, and more. Based on this evaluation, a list of Potential Opportunities ranked by relevance is displayed.

Other sorting options available are shown below:

Results Display Card

Filtered search results are displayed as tiles sorted by relevance. Each tile can include the following important information:

  • Potential Opportunity Type and ID: Can be Recompete or Solicitation

  • Contract or Solicitation Type: Contract or Solicitation Type of the potential Opportunity

  • Value: Estimated potential value of the Opportunity

  • Number of Bidders: Number of contractors bidding on the Opportunity

  • Set Aside: Indicates the set aside status of a specific Opportunity

  • Relevance: Indicates the degree to which a match aligns with your filter criteria. It can take one of the following values:

    • Very High

    • High

    • Medium

    • Low

  • Capabilities (AI Generated): Vendors may face challenges trying to understand the requirements for bidding for an Opportunity based on the information available in the results card. The Capabilities field highlights the types of capabilities required of a vendor who wants to bid for this Opportunity. This information is AI-generated based on the information available in the record.
For example, for the Opportunity shown above, Cybersecurity and Threat Intelligence are the capabilities that a vendor is expected to have.

  • Summary (AI Generated): Based on the information available for an Opportunity, including the description, title, previous contractor, involved agency, estimated value, and any available documentation - a one-paragraph summary is generated. The purpose of the Summary field is to provide users with a concise overview of the key aspects of an Opportunity for quick understanding.

Notes:

  • Summaries are not generated for Opportunities with a value of less than $1 million.

  • Summaries are updated for:

    • Solicitations when a new notice is released

    • Awards when a new transaction is posted

    • Contract Vehicles when a new transaction or Task Order is posted
