Growth Opportunity Important Fields Configuration Guide

Overview

The Important Fields By Stage Admin panel allows you to set up fields as Important Fields for each Stage of a Growth Opportunity record.

This document explains how to configure the Important Fields By Stage Admin panel in Salesforce for use in your organization.

Prerequisites

• Ensure that Growth Suite - Sales Cloud or Platform Edition is already installed and configured. The version of this package must be  2024.2 or higher.

IMPORTANT

This document pertains to the Platform Edition of TechnoMile's Growth Suite and hence includes steps for Growth Opportunity as its primary object. However, you can follow the same steps for Opportunity, which is the primary object for the Sales Cloud Edition of TechnoMile's Growth Suite product.

Assign Permission Set

1. Click the gear icon and select Setup. 

2. Go to Permission Sets using Setup search.

   

3. Scroll down and open the Growth OOB Important Stage Fields Permission Set. 

4. Click Manage Assignments. 

5. Click Add Assignment. 

6. Select your Admin user and click Next. 

7. Click Assign. Permission Set is assigned to the selected Admin user.

8. Click Done. 

Configure Custom Tab Settings for Profile

1. Go to Profiles using Setup search.

2. Open a Profile Name of your choice. 

3. Click Edit. 

4. Scroll down to Custom Tab Settings and ensure that Important Fields By Stage Admin is set to Default On. 

5. Click Save. 

Configure Important Fields By Stage Admin Panel

Add Important Fields by Record Type and Stage

1. Go to Important Fields By Stage Admin using App Launcher. 

2. Select a Record Type and click Show. 

3. Select an Opportunity Stage. 

4. Click Add Field. 

5. Enter a such as Growth Opp Name and click Add.

   NOTE

   As you start entering a value in the Field Label field, you will get an auto-prompt list of suggested values for this field. Select an appropriate value from this list.

   Important Field is added.

6. Similarly, you can add other Important Fields.

7. Click Save. 

   IMPORTANT

   Ensure that you click Save after each change.

Rearrange Important Fields

1. Click Re-Arrange Field.
   

2. Drag-and-drop a field to rearrange it and click Ok.
   

3. Click Save.
   Important Fields are rearranged.
   

Clone Important Fields

1. On the Record Type page, click Clone. 

2. Select another Opportunity Stage and click Save.
   
   A confirmation message displays.

3. Click OK. 
   Important Fields are cloned from the current Stage - Interest into the selected Stage - Pursue.
    

Delete Important Fields

1. To delete a field, click the x icon. A confirmation message displays.

2. Click OK. 

3. Click Save.
   Important Field is deleted. 

Edit Growth Opportunity Record Page

1. Go to a Growth Opportunity record page using App Launcher.

2. Click the gear icon and select Edit Page. Lightning App Builder opens.

3. Scroll down and drag-and-drop the tM_ImportantFieldsOppByStage component onto the page. The component is added.

4. Click Save. A popup window opens.

5. Click Activate. 

6. Click Assign as Org Default. 

7. Choose Desktop and click Next. 

8. Click Save. Click the left arrow icon to go back. Growth Opportunity record page opens with the recently added component on it.
