Overview
The Contract Briefs feature enables you to generate a Contract Brief containing details such as Internal Points of Contact, Contract Information, Period of Performance, etc., pertaining to a Contract record. Post Contract Brief generation, you can preview and download the same in the .docx format.
This document is a step-by-step guide to using the Contract Briefs feature.

Prerequisites
Ensure that TechnoMile's Contracts Suite is already installed and configured. The version of this package must be 2026.1 or higher.
Manually Generate a Contract Brief
To manually generate a Contract Brief:
Login to your Microsoft Dynamics instance.
Go to Contracts and open a Contract record.
Click Generate Documents and select Contract Brief.
Click OK on the confirmation message.
A Contract Brief is generated and it becomes available in your SharePoint location as a .docx file.
Stakeholders receive an email with the link to your Document Location on SharePoint. This notification is sent to the Contract Administrator, Record Owner, and copied to all the email addresses specified in the Product Configuration by your Administrator.
Auto-Generate Contract Briefs
The auto-generation feature is disabled by default for out-of-the-box Contracts users to prevent unintended storage issues. It can be enabled by an Administrator, if required.
To auto-generate a Contract Brief:
Login to your Microsoft Dynamics instance.
Go to Contracts and open a Contract record.
The auto-generation process works as follows:
For Contracts with a single Modification record (Mod 0): When the Contract is locked and its Mod 0 is Executed.
A Contract Brief is generated.Click OK on the confirmation message.
For Contracts with multiple Modification records (Mod 0, Mod 1, Mod 2, and so on): When the Contract is locked and any of the Mod's Revision Type matches the configured value and the same Mod is also in the configured Mod Stage. Then, a Contract Brief is generated.
Click OK on the confirmation message.
NOTES:
The auto-generation of Contract Briefs is driven by Administrator configured settings. The Administrator determines:
At which Stage the Contract is considered locked (For example, when the Contract is in the Administer Stage).
Which Revision Type triggers the Contract Brief generation (For example, Internal Revision, Modification, or both).
At which Stage the Mod is considered eligible (For example, when the Mod is in the Executed Stage) or whenever the Contract locks irrespective of the Stage, if no Stage is configured.
The generated Contract Brief is available in your SharePoint location as a .docx file.
NOTE:
The file name of an auto-generated Contract Brief differs from a manually generated Contract Brief.
Stakeholders receive an email that contains the link to your Document Location on SharePoint. This notification is sent to the Contract Administrator, Record Owner, and copied to all the email addresses specified in the Product Configuration by your Administrator.
