Overview
The Revenue Projections feature enables you to view the amount of revenue you expect to earn from a particular Opportunity, over a specified duration based on factors such as total contract value, workshare percentage, and calculated PWin percentage. You can view projected revenue amounts for a particular Opportunity or across all your Opportunities using Reports and Dashboards.
When forecasting the expected revenue for an Opportunity, you can also update the Revenue Projection to associate more revenue with a particular year or quarter (overriding the built-in, pre-defined formula to evenly spread the revenue across the expected period of performance), thereby bringing greater ease and accuracy to Revenue Projections.

Growth Suite Users
Prerequisites
Ensure that TechnoMile Growth Suite is already installed and configured. The version of this package must be 2024.2 or higher.
Revenue Projection Tab
Navigate to an Opportunity record in your Dynamics Growth instance.
Go to the Snapshot tab.
In the Opportunity Summary section, enter data in the Our Workshare % field and click Save.

In the Important Dates section, enter values for fields such as Base Period of Performance and Contract Start Date, and click Save.
NOTE
Data in the Estimated End Date field will be auto-populated once an Opportunity record is saved.

Also, ensure that the PWin Score field is auto-populated on the Snapshot tab by filling out the PWIN Questionnaire on the PWIN tab and clicking Save to generate a PWin Score.


Click the ellipsis icon (…) and select Revenue Projection.
NOTE
If an existing Opportunity record does not have any Revenue Projections associated with it, you must edit the record and ensure that its Our Workshare %, PWIN Score, Base Period of Performance, and Contract Start Date fields have data in them and then save the record.
The actions of both Edit and Save are necessary for the automatic generation of Revenue Projection records in existing Opportunities.

Click a Revenue Projection Name to view its details.
The Revenue Projections (both Factored and Unfactored) display for a particular Year, Quarter, and Month.
Manually Modifying Revenue Projection Spread
By default, the Revenue Projection tool will automatically spread anticipated revenue evenly across the Opportunity’s period of performance. You also have the option to manually modify the spread of Factored and Unfactored Revenue for individual periods.
NOTE
Manually modifying the revenue projection spread for a specific record disables automatic calculations. Any further adjustments to the projections for that record will require manual updates.
In the Opportunity record page, click Revenue Projections in the ribbon.

Click OK on the confirmation popup window.

NOTE
When the Allocation by $ option is chosen, the year-wise fields for Allocation by % are disabled for editing. Similarly, when the Allocation by % option is chosen, the year-wise fields for Allocation by $ are disabled.
In this window, you can: Choose to display Factored or Unfactored Revenue
Manually modify year-wise Allocation by $
Manually modify year-wise Allocation by %
Make a note of the Allocations by $ and % for the years - 2022, 2023, and 2024.
Retain the default selections and edit the values for the years 2022 and 2023 as shown below.
The percentage values for the years 2022 and 2023 and the Total amount are updated automatically.Click Save.

Choose options Factored and Allocation by %. Make a note of the year-wise Allocations by % and $ and the Total amount.

Edit the allocation percentage values for the year 2024 to 25%.
The $ value for the year 2024 and the Total amount are automatically updated.Click Save.
