Overview
The GovSearchAI Connector is a solution built for Government Contractors to streamline federal data management, reporting, and gain more actionable intel. GovSearchAI Connector does this by centralizing real-time Federal data directly from sources such as USA Spending Federal Procurement Data Systems (FPDS) and GovSearchAI portal. Upon installation, data and functionality from these sources are available on multiple objects within your Salesforce org, including Accounts, Contacts, and Opportunities.
Note that the GovSearchAI Connector is available for installation only on Enterprise and Unlimited editions. It is NOT available on Essentials and Professional editions.

Prerequisites
Please contact TechnoMile Support or email support@technomile.com for the following information prior to starting your installation: Analytics package installation link of version 2024.2 or higher.
Steps for Installation
You can choose to install the GovSearchAI Connector in a Sandbox environment for testing, prior to its installation in your Production environment.
Please contact TechnoMile Support or email support@technomile.com for a separate GovSearchAI Connector installation link for your Sandbox/Test environment.
Log in to your Salesforce account.
Important
Ensure that only one instance of your Salesforce instance is open in the browser where you want to install this package.
Copy the installation link and paste it in a new browser tab.
Choose an option per your user requirements, select the I acknowledge checkbox, and click Install.

You will receive an email notification when installation is complete.Click Done to complete the installation and go back to your Salesforce org.

Refresh the Installed Packages page to view the Analytics package in this list.

Steps for Configuration
Create My Domain
Important
Perform the following My Domain creation steps only if your Domain is NOT yet registered.
Skip this section if your Domain is already registered.
Choose your Domain Name carefully as once it is set, you CANNOT change it. Please contact Salesforce Customer Support, if you require a new Domain Name.
You can either create a Domain for a self-certified URL or a custom URL that is CA Certified.
Click the gear icon and select Setup.

Go to My Domain using Setup search.

Enter Domain Name and click Check Availability.

Domain Name is Available message is displayed.
Click Register Domain.

The following message displays.
Once email is received, refresh the My Domain page.
Click Log in or go to your email and click the received link to test your newly created Domain.

Click Open.

New window opens with Domain Name in URL.Click Deploy to Users.

Click OK on the confirmation message.

Domain is deployed to all users.
Assign Permission Set
Go to Permission Sets using Setup search.
Open the Competitive Insights User Permission Set.

Click Manage Assignments.

Click Add Assignment.

Select a user and click Next.

Click Assign.

The Permission Set is assigned to the selected user.Click Done.

Configure Remote Site Settings
Important Prerequisite: Ensure that you have retrieved the Remote Site URL from TechnoMile Support.
Go to Remote Site Settings using Setup search.
Click New Remote Site.

Enter Remote Site Name as CompetitiveInsightsAPIURL and Remote Site URL as https://portal.technomile.com, select the Active checkbox, and click Save.

Remote Site is created.
Configure Custom Settings
Go to Analytics Configuration Page using App Launcher.

TM Analytics Admin Utility Tool page opens.
Configure TM Analytics Webservice Endpoint
Important Prerequisite: Ensure that you have retrieved all the required Endpoint URLs from TechnoMile Support.
Scroll down to TM Analytics Webservice Endpoint and click the gear icon against AnalyticsPortalURL.

Enter Endpoint URL and click Submit.

Click the gear icon against CompetitiveInsightsAPIURL.


Enter EndpointURL and click Submit.
Configure TM Analytics GovSearchAI Setting
Important Prerequisite: Ensure that you have retrieved all the required TM Analytics GovSearchAI Setting details as listed above from TechnoMile Support.
Go to TM Analytics GovSearchAI Setting and click the gear icon.

Enter details such as Username, Password, Client ID, Client ID for Token, and Client Secret for Token and click Submit.

All Custom Settings are configured.
Edit Account Record Page
Go to an Account record page using App Launcher.
Click the gear icon and select Edit Page.
Lightning App Builder opens.Scroll down and drag-and-drop the TM_Analytics_AccountWidgetCmp component onto the page.

Set Layout View of Widget to 100.

The Account widget component is added.Click Save.
A popup window opens.Click Activate.

Click Assign as Org Default.

Choose Desktop and click Next.

Click Save.

Click the left arrow icon to go back.

Account record page opens with the recently added component on it.
Edit Opportunity Record Page
Go to Lightning App Builder of an Opportunity Record page and drag-and-drop the TM_Analytics_OpportunityWidgetCmp component onto the page.
Alternatively, you can also drag-and-drop the TM_Analytics_OpportunityWidgetCmp component onto another part of the page, if required. In this case, ensure that Layout View of Widget is set to 66.
Save and activate the page.
Go back to your Opportunity record page to view the recently added component on it.
