Overview

The Growth Module provides Government Contractors with a complete Capture Management System on the highly-flexible and scalable Salesforce platform. The application provides Capture Managers with the tools that they need to capture new business, collaborate with partners, identify potential competitors, and streamline capture processes.

This document explains how to install and configure the Growth Module for TechnoMile Suite Sales Cloud edition in your organization.

Note that Growth Module for TechnoMile Suite Sales Cloud edition is available for installation only on Enterprise and Unlimited editions. It is NOT available on Essentials and Professional editions.

Prerequisites

  • Please contact TechnoMile Support or email support@technomile.com for the following information prior to starting your installation:

  • Growth Module installation package link

  • Ensure that the Field History Tracking feature is enabled by performing the following steps.

Open Customize Page Layout to Import Settings

Step 1. Open App Launcher.

Step 19. Enter text ‘Customize Opp Layout’ in the search bar and click the Customize Opp Layout link in search results.

Step 2. In the Customize Opp Layout page, select a Record Type such as ‘RFP’ and click Go.

NOTE

For demonstration purposes, configuration of only ONE Record Type has been shown in this document. Similarly, you can configure other Record Types as you may require.

The configuration done will be available only for the selected Record Type, in this case RFP.

Import Custom Settings

Step 3. RFP Record Type Page Layout displays, click Import to import custom settings.

Step 4. The following confirmation message displays, click OK.

Custom Settings are imported and page layout changes displaying tabs, sections, and fields.

You can click the Export button to take a backup of your current page layout and import it again, if required.

NOTE

Alternatively, you can customize page layout for each Record Type as required. Refer to the Growth Module TechnoMile Suite - Customizing Page Layout Guide for more information.

Enter URLs in Remote Site Settings

Enter Visualforce Page URL

Step 5. Click the gear icon and select Setup.

Step 6. Enter text ‘visualforce pages’ in the search bar and click Visualforce Pages.

Step 25. Click a Visualforce Page Label.

Step 7. Go to Version Settings and click Preview.

Step 8. Copy Visualforce Page URL as shown below.

Step 9. Enter text ‘remote site settings’ in the search bar and click Remote Site Settings.


Step 10. Click
PickListValuesVF.

Step 11. Click Edit.

Step 12. Paste copied URL in the Remote Site URL field and click Save.

Remote Site URL changes are saved to PickListValuesVF.

Enter Classic Page URL

Step 13. Click your user icon and select Switch to Salesforce Classic.

Step 14. Copy Classic Page URL as shown below.

Step 15. Go back to Remote Site Settings and click PickListValues.

Step 16. Click Edit.

Step 17. Paste copied URL in the Remote Site URL field and click Save.

Remote Site URL changes are saved to PickListValues.

Configure Record Type Custom Settings

Step 18. Click the gear icon and select Setup.

Step 19. Enter text ‘custom settings’ in the search bar and click Custom Settings.

Step 20. In Custom Settings page, scroll down and click the TM_RecordTypeSetting label.

Step 21. Click Manage.

Step 22. Click RFP-RFP Record Type name.

Step 23. Click Edit.

Step 24. Enter App_API as ‘FedCapture:TM_FedCapture’ and click Save.

Similarly, you can configure Custom Settings for other Record Types.

Override Buttons

Step 25. Go to Opportunity Object Manager, click Buttons, Links, and Actions, and scroll down to select New Edit.

Step 26. Choose No override (use default).

Step 26.1. Choose Lightning component against Lightning Experience Override and select ‘FedCapture:TM_NewButtonRedirection_LDS’ in its drop-down field.

Step 26.2. Choose Use the Salesforce Classic Override against Mobile Override.

Step 26.3. Click Save.

Step 27. Similarly, perform all actions as listed under step 45 above and change the page for Edit button with Lightning components as ‘FedCapture:TM_EditOpportunity_LDS_V2’.


Pages are overridden to Lightning Page for both New and Edit buttons of the Opportunity object.

Assign Lightning Page as Org Default

Step 28. In Opportunity Object Manager, click Lightning Record Pages and then click Opportunity Detail.

Step 29. Click View.

Step 30. Click Activation…

Step 31. A popup window opens, click Assign as Org Default.


Step 32. Click
Save.

Opportunity Detail page is assigned as Org Default.

Create a New Opportunity

Step 33. Open App Launcher.

Step 34. Enter text ‘opportunities’ in the search bar and click the Opportunities link in search results.


Step 35. Opportunities page opens, click
Opportunities and select New Opportunity.

Step 36. Choose a Record Type such as ‘RFP’ and click Next.

Step 37. Enter all required (mandatory) field details for creating a new Opportunity, such as: Opportunity Name, Stage, Probability, Award Date, and click Save.

Opportunity record is created.

Note that this is a test record and you can create your own record as well.

The assigned lightning record page displays.
