Match a Salesforce Contact to GovSearch

Overview

GovSearch People Connector enables you to match an existing Salesforce Contact with GovSearch data, create a new Contact from GovSearch data, and update select Salesforce Contact fields using GovSearch data. 

This document is a step-by-step guide on how you can use the GovSearch People Connector in your organization.

Prerequisites

  • Ensure that GovSearchAI Connector - Sales Cloud or Platform Edition is already installed and configured. The versions of these packages must be 2024.1 or higher.

Features

GovSearch People Connector enables you to do the following:

  • Match an existing Salesforce Contact with GovSearch data.

  • Update Salesforce Contact fields using GovSearch data.

  • Add a new Salesforce Contact from GovSearch data.

  • View details about a Salesforce Contact such as Email, Address, Phone Number, etc. from GovSearch.

  • View different lists associated with a Contact:

    • List of other people at Contact's Agency.

    • List of other people who held the same job as your Contact.

Match a Salesforce Contact to GovSearch

  1. Go to Contacts and open a contact record.

  2. In the contact record, go to the GovSearch tab.

  3. Enter details such as First Name, Last Name, Email, and then click Search.

  4. Click Match for the contact that you want to match.

    The contact is now matched.

  5. To match the contact with a different GovSearch contact, click Unmatch and repeat the previous steps.
