Admin Panel Component Management Dashboard

Overview

Admin Panel for Component Management on Microsoft Dynamics is a one-stop-shop for Administrators designed to simplify and standardize how Dynamics components are tracked and managed in an environment. The panel addresses long-standing challenges related to component tracking, managed/unmanaged layers validations, and effective data migrations. Previously, teams relied on separate Excel-based deployment trackers per customer to manage component Status (On/Off). This manual process was time-consuming, error-prone, and often caused issues during data migrations, environment validations, and post-deployment activities, especially when components were not restored to their correct Status.

Admin Panel for Component Management enables Administrators to do the following:

  • Eliminates reliance on Excel-based manual deployment trackers

  • Identifies components that may be left disabled after a data migration

  • Identifies unmanaged components caused by unmanaged layers or customizations

  • Allows filtering of components by Category, Layer, and Primary Entity Name to support data migration

  • Provides direct navigation links to component editors for quick reviews or modifications

  • Enables proactive environment validations before a customer raises any issues

  • Sends automated email notifications that list Non-Compliant components

  • Emails run on a weekly schedule however, can also be triggered on-demand providing real-time visibility into an environment's overall status

IMPORTANT:

Admin Panel for Component Management is a stand alone package - Technomile.Contracts.Deployment, which does not have any product upgrade dependencies.
