Access to DAFFARS Clause Type Configuration Guide

Overview

Clause Management in TechnoMile's Contracts Suite enables you to search for, select, and then add specific Clauses for review on all your Our Contracts and Subcontracts. From here, you can also create a Clause to add it to your Clause Library and customize the Clause records view by selecting specific columns for display.

This document is a step-by-step guide on how you can configure access to the DAFFARS Clause Type that is now updated from AFFARS in acqusition.gov for use in your organization.

Prerequisites

  • Ensure that Contracts Suite - Sales Cloud Edition is already installed and configured. The version of this package must be 2025.1 or higher.

Using Configure 2025.1 Button in Contract Suite Configure

  1. Go to Contract Suite Configure using App Launcher.

  2. Select Contract and a Record Type of your choice such as All Other and click Go.

  3. Click Configure 2025.1.

    IMPORTANT

    Note that on the click of the Configure 2025.1 button, the following configurations will be performed automatically.

    1. The DAFFARS value will be added to the Clause Type field of the Clause and Contract Specific Clause objects, if not already available in the field.

    2. A record named DAFFARS will be created in the TM_ClauseLibrary_Type_Setting Custom Setting, if not already available as a record in Custom Settings.

    3. The following values will be added to and any existing values that do not match with the following list will be deactivated from the Socioeconomic Class field of the  and Subcontract objects.

      • Large Business (LB)

      • Small Business (SB)

      • Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB)

      • Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB)

      • Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Minority Institutions (HBCU MI)

      • Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone SB)

      • Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB)

      • Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB)

      • Alaska Native Corporations (ANCs) and Indian Tribes that have not been certified by the Small Business Administration as Small Disadvantaged Businesses

      • Alaska Native Corporations (ANCs) and Indian Tribes that are not Small Businesses

    4. The following values will be added to the Plan Type field of the Small Business Plan object, if not already available in the field.

      • Full Contract

      • POP Year

    5. The SmallBusinessPlanGoalTypeValidation Validation Rule will be deactivated on the Small Business Plan object.

    6. The Avoid_Selecting_Large_and_Small_Business and Include_in_SBP_must_be_No Validation Rules will be activated on the Subcontract object.
