Solicitations are formal requests issued by government Agencies seeking Proposals or Bids from Contractors to provide goods or services. They outline an Agency's requirements, evaluation criteria, and the process for submitting Proposals. Understanding Solicitations is crucial for government Contractors as they provide Opportunities to win Government Contracts. By carefully reviewing Solicitations, Contractors can determine if they are qualified to bid and develop competitive Proposals that meet the government's needs.
The Solicitations feature in GovSearchAI lets you search, filter, and manage Solicitation records across multiple sources. You can use keywords, filters, and sort options to identify relevant Solicitations and view detailed information. Solicitations incorporate data from multiple sources and apply an AI-powered algorithm to identify best-fit Solicitations that can help you efficiently fill your pipeline.

Access and Search Solicitations
Follow these steps to access and search for Solicitations.
Log in to the GovSearchAI portal.
Go to Solicitations.
The Find Solicitations page opens, displaying the following:A search bar and related filters to find Solicitations. To learn more about Search, see the GovSearchAI - Semantic Search User Guide.
Solicitations-related tiles and their descriptions in the Quick Access section.

All Solicitations | Displays all Solicitations in the system. You can browse and filter the complete list of Solicitations. |
SAM.Gov | Displays all Solicitations from SAM.Gov. |
APFS | Displays all Solicitations from APFS. |
New Solicitations | Displays recently posted Solicitations. This helps you stay updated with the latest Solicitations. |
View Solicitations
Click All Solicitations.
All Solicitations open in the default card view with key details such as Solicitation title and Number, Agency name, Set Aside, Capabilities, etc.
Sort Solicitations
You can select a sort option to organize Solicitations based on the selected criteria.
Sort by: Sort results by Solicitation Date, Response Due Date, or Potential Value. This helps you prioritize and view Solicitations in a meaningful order based on your requirements.
Asc/Desc: Change the sorting order to ascending or descending.
Side Panel View
The side panel provides additional details about a Solicitation without leaving the card view. It expands on the information shown in the card view.
On the Solicitations page, click a Solicitation.
A side panel opens on the right side of the page. It displays Solicitation details such as Solicitation title and Number, Agency name, classification codes - NAICS, PSC, and Set Aside.The following sections describe each section of a Solicitation in the side panel.
Header Information
Displays the Solicitation title and Number, Agency name, classification codes - NAICS, PSC, and Set Aside. It also provides a link to View Full Details.
Linked Opportunity
Displays the Opportunity Record that is linked to this Solicitation.
Key Dates
Displays the Posted Date, Response Due Date, Solicitation Date, and Award Date.
Summary
Displays a concise overview of a procurement notice. It gives the key details of a Contract Opportunity. You can expand the section to view the complete Summary.
Capabilities
Displays relevant capability tags associated with the Solicitation, helping you understand required skills or service areas.
Notes
Allows you to add and manage internal notes related to the Solicitation. You can use this section to capture insights, updates, or comments for reference and collaboration.
Details View
In the side panel, click View Full Details.
The Solicitation details page opens.

Details Page
The Solicitation details page provides a comprehensive view of a Solicitation, including summary information, detailed attributes, related Opportunity record, and Customer and Contacts information. It allows you to review all relevant information in one place.
Tabs
The tabs organize Solicitation information into different views, including Overview, Contacts, and Documents. These tabs allow you to access Solicitation Summary details, Contacts information such as Name, Agency/Office name, Email address, and Phone number, and associated documents. You can switch between tabs to view specific information about the Solicitation.
Solicitation Snapshot
The Solicitation Snapshot section provides a quick overview of key attributes of the Solicitation, such as Estimated Value, Set Aside, Solicitation Date, Response Due Date, and Capabilities. This section helps you quickly assess the scope and timeline of the Solicitation.
Linked Opportunity
The Linked Opportunity section displays the Opportunity record that is linked to this Solicitation.
Customer
The Customer section displays the Agency name for this Solicitation.
Solicitation Details
The Solicitation Details section provides detailed information about key attributes of the Solicitation including classification codes - NAICS and PSC, Period of Performance - Start and End Dates, Contract Vehicle, Posted Date, Award Date, Archive Date, and Solicitation Summary.
Contacts
The Contacts section displays contact details of individuals associated with the Solicitation, including name, email address, and phone number. You can use this information for communication and follow-ups.
Notes
The Notes section allows you to add and manage internal notes related to the Solicitation. You can use this section to capture insights, updates, or comments for reference and collaboration.
