GovSearchAI - Agencies User Guide

Overview

The Agencies feature in GovSearchAI allows you to search, filter, and manage Agency records. You can use keywords, filters, and sorting options to identify relevant agencies, view detailed information, and take actions such as subscribing to or sharing agency records. The system aggregates agency data and helps you analyze agency-related information efficiently.

Access and Search Agencies

Follow the procedures below to access agencies.

  1. Log in to the GovSearchAI portal.

  2. On the navigation pane, select Agencies.

Agency Explorer page appears.

Search Agencies

The search bar allows you to search for agencies and their child agencies using keywords. You can quickly locate relevant agencies without navigating through the hierarchy or expanding and collapsing categories to view associated agencies and offices.

  1. Enter the required Agency name in the search box.

  2. Click Search.

    The list of agencies that match the keyword appears.

View Agencies

The Agency Explorer page is logically grouped into categories. Select a category to view the associated agencies.

  1. On the Agency explorer page, select any agency.

  2. Expand or collapse an agency to view its child agencies and offices.

    The agency opens in the side panel view.

Side Panel View

The Agency side panel displays detailed information about the selected agency without leaving the list view. It allows you to review agency information, analyze spending patterns, and access related records.

Header Information

Displays the agency name along with key identifiers such as parent organization, location, and website link. It also shows the number of sub-agencies associated with the selected agency and provides a View Full Details option to access the complete agency record.

Summary

Provides a descriptive overview of the agency, outlining its purpose, responsibilities, and areas of operation. You can expand the section to view the full description.

Spending on My Capabilities

Displays the agency’s spending on capabilities defined in your Profile across multiple years.

  • Shows capability categories (for example, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity). 

  • Displays year-wise spending values for each capability. 

  • Uses an intensity scale (Low, Medium, High) to indicate spending levels.

This section helps you analyze trends and identify areas where the agency is actively investing.

Recent Awards

Lists recent contract awards associated with the agency.

  • Displays award identifiers and values.

  • Shows Vendor or contractor details.

  • Includes award dates for reference.

This section helps you understand recent procurement activity and vendor engagement for the agency.

Detailed View

On the side panel, click View Full Details.

The following sections describe each section of the Opportunity Details page.

The Agency Details page provides a comprehensive view of the selected agency. It allows you to review agency information, analyze related opportunities and awards, and access key organizational details in one place.

Header Section

Displays the agency name and location. It also provides actions such as Subscribe and additional options to manage the agency record.

Tabs

The tabs organize agency information into sections. Select a tab to view specific details.

  • Overview: Displays a consolidated view of the agency, including opportunities, awards, and key details

  • Opportunities: Displays opportunities associated with the agency

  • Contract Vehicles: Displays contract vehicles linked to the agency

  • Awards: Displays awards associated with the agency

  • Contacts: Displays contact information related to the agency

Top Opportunities

Displays a list of top opportunities associated with the agency.

  • Shows opportunity title, Solicitation date, status, and match score.

  • Helps you identify relevant opportunities linked to the agency.

Recent Awards

Displays recent awards associated with the agency.

  • Includes award ID, vendor, title, and dates.

  • Helps you review recent procurement activity.

Agency Details

The Agency Details section provides key information about the selected agency in a consolidated view. It displays a summary describing the agency’s purpose and responsibilities, along with core details such as the parent organization, contact phone number, and address. It also includes quick statistics that help you understand the agency's scale and activity.

  • Displays a high-level summary of the agency

  • Shows parent organization, phone number, and address

  • Provides quick stats such as the number of contacts, sub-agencies, vendors, and IDVs awarded

  • Helps you quickly assess the agency’s structure and activity level

Subscribe and Notification Preferences

The Subscribe option allows you to track an agency and receive updates when changes occur. When you subscribe, the system sends notifications based on configured preferences. To learn more, see GovSearchAI - Subscribe User Guide.
