Overview

The GovSearch People Connector brings Contact intelligence from GovSearch - the authoritative source for analyst-curated Contact information for senior government decision and policy makers - right inside your CRM solution. This data provides your team with the Contact intelligence they need to improve the reach and effectiveness of your company’s marketing campaigns or advocacy efforts.

The connector links GovSearch data to the Contact and Account records in your organization’s Salesforce CRM. This enriches your team’s view of their Contacts, enabling them to see analyst-curated details - including emails and phone numbers as well as biographical information for people in positions of authority at federal, state, county, and municipal levels - all without leaving the CRM. These details equip your team to strategically build new relationships and more effectively perform account and call planning.

Prerequisites

• Ensure that GovSearchAI Connector - Sales Cloud or Platform Edition is already installed and configured. The versions of these packages must be 2024.2 or higher.

GovSearch Tab on Contact Record Page

After a Salesforce contact is matched with GovSearch contact data, the Overview sub-tab opens by default. This tab includes details such as Email, Address, and Phone Number.

1. Go to the Contacts tab and open the contact record.
   
   

2. Open the GovSearch tab to view the contact details.
   

3. The History tab displays information from the Experience History and Former Positions fields for the matched contact.
   

GovSearch Tab on Account Record Page

If a Salesforce account is matched with a GovSearchAI account, the GovSearch tab is available on the account record page.

1. Open an account record.

2. On the Account record, go to the GovSearch tab.

The GovSearchAI details for the connected account are displayed.

3. To import a contact, click the icon.
   
   The contact is imported, and the update icon appears.
   
   The imported contact appears in the Contact list.
   
   
   However, if the account is connected to a vendor, the following message is displayed:
